The Location

Situated in the fourth-largest American city by population, Lyric Market stretches out across nearly an entire city block in Downtown Houston’s Theater District. Adjacent to the Lyric Centre Tower, the Market welcomes guests through numerous entrances, including a main threshold at the corner of Smith and Preston Streets, and another landmarked by the iconic Virtuoso sculpture by David Adickes. The surrounding Theater District encompasses more than 500 institutions dedicated to the arts, such as the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand opera, as well as more than a dozen new and planned residential tower projects, including the completed Market Square Tower. Other nearby attractions include Minute Maid Park, Bayou Place, University of Houston, The Museum of Fine Arts, and Centennial Park, as well as adjacent neighborhoods such as River Oaks and Houston Heights.
